About Liz Young McNally
Liz Young McNally brings a rare combination of recent senior government service, operational leadership in defense and technology innovation, strategic consulting expertise, and philanthropic executive experience.
Most recently, Liz served as Deputy Director at the Defense Innovation Unit, where she led collaboration between the Pentagon, tech sector, and investment community and helped oversee DIU's $1B budget. Previously, she served as Co-CEO at Schmidt Futures, a philanthropic venture for talent and emerging technology, and was a Partner at McKinsey & Company. Liz began her career in the US Army, including two deployments to Iraq. She maintains a Top Secret security clearance and holds extensive networks across the defense innovation ecosystem.
